As with any Oil or Gas well, unknown and unpredictable events constantly occur in the downhole environment causing production issue’s, formation damage, production string failures and much more. With the option of Retrievable Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), your company gains the ability to locate and identify these types of issues without the expensive of workover rigs or other major means of intervention. DTS offers the most economical, efficient and informative method to predict issue’s that are occurring in the well and can be utilized and installed using multiple methods. Our Retrievable DTS products can be installed in various fashions, i.e. slickline units or typical spoolers and tri-pod set-up running FibreDip or other conventional and hybrid cables.

| WHAT CAN RETREIVABLE DTS DO FOR OUR CUSTOMERS? |
| DTS allows us to collect a complete wellbore temperature profile once the cable has been deployed into the well. By rapidly collecting large volumes of wellbore temperature data via the downhole cable and Sensornet surface system, this enables us to precisely identify and locate where an event is actually occurring. Once the actual event and location is identified, this allows our customer to make informed decisions regarding any needed intervention, saving thousands of dollars in downtime and equipment costing. The Sensornet DTS acquisition units are very accurate up to 0.01°C with spatial measurements as close as every meter along the wellbore, meaning the fiber itself acts as a temperature sensor placed every 1 meter throughout the well. Added benefits of utilizing the Fiber Optic conveyed DTS system is that there is no need to make multiple passes within the well as with conventional Production Logging Tool’s (PLT’s), which reduces the chance of additional issues caused by Slickline / Wireline or other retrievable operations. With a traditional PLT operation, if a “temperature anomaly” is occurring real-time, the PLT will not capture the event unless temperature portion of the PLT is in the exact location of the anomaly, where as with the retrievable DTS cable in place every event can be seen in real-time. To make a complete logging package, fiber optic DTS and traditional PLT’s can be utilized together via copper/optical deployment cables. |
